Hosts and Team Members
Do you have an impact project and want to participate in our Hosting program? We are looking for professionals, freelancers or students who need space to grow their ideas.
The Hosting Program consists of an exchange of 7 hours a week attending and collaborating with Impact Hub Barcelona and its community. In exchange, you will get a membership with which you can enjoy our coworking space in Poblenou and all the activities we carry out in the space.
And in addition, you will join the global network of Impact Hub. Still do not know all the advantages that this entails? Remember to attach your CV and why you would like to be a host, so you help us in our selection.
“Young talent” program
At Impact Hub we want to count on the talent, professionalism and effort of people like you. The Young Talent program lasts between six months and one year. During this time, you will become part of the team, collaborating in the design, development and measurement phases of different circular economy, entrepreneurship, sustainability and innovation projects.
Our internships are compatible with the training program you are taking.
If you are a student in your final year of a Bachelor's/Master's or a recent graduate, you want to have a real job opportunity, collaborate on challenging projects and the opportunity to join a leading company, do not hesitate to submit your application.

What is Impact Hub network?
We are the world’s largest community (over 16,000 members) and an accelerator of positive change. With over 100 spaces, across five continents and more than 50 countries, we have the local startup communities needed to drive and mobilize innovation in its broadest sense. Impact Hub creates communities for impact on a large scale. When you are part of Impact Hub Barcelona you are also part of our global community.
What makes an Impact Hub member?
Impact Hub consists of three distinct elements. First, a vibrant community of passionate, entrepreneurial people who share an intention in what they do to bring about positive change and act as individuals to connect and develop their projects.
What do we do?
We build ecosystems to drive collaboration and entrepreneurship around the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through our local Hubs, our partners and our impact networks. The Impact Hub experience has three main components, we want people to work together to generate positive impact, that’s why around the world we Inspire, Connect and Empower our members to achieve it.

I am not a social entrepreneur. Can I join Impact Hub Barcelona’s community?
Our goal is to connect people from diverse horizons and generate impact-driven collaborations. Therefore, being a social entrepreneur is not a condition to be part of our ecosystem. Our community is made up of entrepreneurs, freelancers and small to medium-sized organizations. Our members have different backgrounds, but share the same intention to empower each other and act together to drive and grow their projects.
Am I allowed to work at a different Impact Hub location?
Yes, if you are a member of Impact Hub Barcelona, you can work at any other Impact Hub in the world three days a year, every year. What does this mean? If you want to stop by Impact Hub Accra for three days, jump to Impact Hub Mexico City for three days and then Impact Hub Tokyo for three days, you can! All you have to do is fill out the form on the Impact Hub Passport website to notify the Impact Hub you want to visit.
Is Impact Hub a franchise?
No. The Impact Hub IP and brand is owned by the “Impact Hub Association”, a collective that brings together all Impact Hubs. The Association is the sole owner of “HUB GmbH (Impact Hub Company)”, a charitable company with a mandate to manage the global operations and facilitate the development of the network as a whole, similar to hosting a local Impact Hub community. Impact Hub Company is currently managed by a global team of people located in various countries, several of whom are founders of local Hubs.
Where was the first Impact Hub born?
The first Impact Hub opened in central London in early 2005, and has remained open and active to this day. Located on the top floor of a former warehouse, Impact Hub Islington in London, UK, already embodied the grassroots entrepreneurial spirit. All built from the ground up, the space was designed to provide a collaborative environment where people could work, meet and learn within an adaptable structure. It had leaf-shaped tables that allowed for flexible working, a semi-open meeting room where members could organize workshops, a library set aside for quiet concentration, and a communal kitchen where people could meet over lunch or share a coffee. There were no assigned workspaces for each person, so members sat next to someone different each time they visited the Impact Hub. The main idea was to create a place where “unlikely allies” would meet by chance. The Hot Desk concept is commonly known today, but more than 10 years ago, it was a completely new concept.
